We were also committed to fulfilling the spirit of the guidelines and not just the technical points. In the end we believe we created alternative activities that were just as compelling as our standard online learning activities. The alternative structure of the activities creates a sense of exploration for the disabled person and, as a result, a sense of engagement. In the end it’s really not that surprising that people living with a disability hate being read to just as much as sighted people hate going through a read-and-click experience.
